About the School
Welcome!
Nestled in the picturesque Salmon Valley, surrounded by the majestic Beaverhead, Sawtooth, and Lemhi mountain ranges, Pioneer Elementary School enjoys a stunning natural backdrop. While the Salmon River may be the valley's focal point, here at Pioneer Elementary, our students shine brightest. Every day, we collaborate closely with them, nurturing their self-worth, fostering empathy towards others, and celebrating the joys of learning.
With an enrollment of approximately 300 students spanning preschool through fifth grade, Pioneer Elementary boasts a dedicated staff comprising certified teachers, instructional aides, administrative personnel, and support staff. With an average teacher/student ratio of 1:18, our small size allows us to cultivate meaningful connections with each student, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and admiration.
Pioneer Elementary is fortunate to have a vibrant Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) that plays a pivotal role in enhancing our educational environment. Through their unwavering support, we're able to offer a plethora of enriching programs and initiatives that contribute to a positive and engaging learning atmosphere for our students.
